1. General information
   • Status of FP7 Opticon proposal
     • PG reported that our Network is expected to be included in the OPTICON FP7 program (as WP9.3) but with a significant smaller budget than was applied for. This was caused by the total OPTICON proposal being allocated a smaller grant from EC than expected. The final amount should be available in the late summer.
2. Mini-interface meeting July 17-18
   • Summary of meeting * Prototype projects
     • DT gave a short summary of an AURA meeting on software. They are interested in making a new system and would consider architecture and design discussed in our NVO/OPTICON group. DT will be our interface to AURA as he is vice-char of one of AURA software working groups.
     • The basic content of the design/interface document was outlined by DT. It is expected that a full draft version is available in the start of August. It will then be distributed for comments. The exact distribution list still has to be defined but will include our Network and AURA people. We hope to finish the first set of comments and discussions by mid/end September.
3. New developments
   • Prototype projects
     • LP are working on a Python implementation of SAMP. This will help in upgrading the SAMP specifications and better show what will be needed for a system based on our architecture and design.
