1. General information
   • Status of OPTICON FP7 proposal
     • The proposal is currently being evaluated by EU and a first indication is still expected end-June or July. PG contacted FP during the EURO-VO meeting in Garching to ask if he would be willing to serve as vice-chair in FP7 Network should it be granted. He was positive to the suggestion and will be contacted formally if the OPTICON FP7 gets funded.
   • EURO-VO meeting in Garching April 7-11
     • PG participated in the EURO-VO meeting in Garching April 7-11 and several discussion e.g. with G. Rixon, G. Longo, and F. Pasian. There were several interesting talks. It is clear that we should coordinate closely with EURO-VO as there are several potential interfaces which should be common such as SAMP.
   • Possible dates for mini-interface meeting
     • Our plan foresees that a small subgroup of our network will start the discussions of the interface specifications during June. A small face-to-face meeting will be arranged to finalize the draft for open discussion within the Network. We need to fix the dates for this meeting very soon (see action). The subgroup currently consists of DT, LP, MC, CS, and PG but we could accommodate 1-2 more.
2. New developments
   • Interface specifications
     • DG reported on the NVO developments. The proposal for explicit NVO funding is going ahead. There has been work on the messaging interface (i.e. SAMP) and the application framework. A meeting of the AURA Software Group is planned for June which will give more exposure to our work as DT will participate.
   • Prototype projects
     • No new work was reported.

4. Time for next phone meeting
   • Suggestion: 2008-05-20 14:30 UT (16:30 CET)
     • It was suggested to shift the date to 2008-06-03 as DT would have difficulties in attending.
