Agenda and minutes

1. General information
   • Status of OPTICON FP7 proposal
     • The OPTICON application to EU FP7 was submitted and the result is expected during this summer. The text corresponds closely to our draft with only minor technical changes. It anyone wants to see the final text s/he should contact PG who has a copy from OPTICON.
   • High-level requirements
     • NC found several typos and the like in the High-level requirements documents. The document was upgraded accordingly and the final version 1.0 issues on 2008-02-29. It is available through our twiki page as a PDF-file. An OpenOffice version could be produced but only if there is a strong wish to have one.
2. New developments
   • Interface specifications
     • DT reported on a VO meeting at Caltech where he mentioned our current work in order the raise the awareness in the VO community. There had also been discussions within AURA on long term strategy on software.
     • DT indicated that there would be some internal NRAO discussions on interfaces and that he expected to have a first proposal ready for discussions in our group by May.
   • Prototype projects
     • BG mentioned a VO related meeting in Rome where LP had presented a poster on the Marseilles-Milan prototype. Unfortunately, the meeting had been very condensed leaving little room for discussions.

4. Time for next phone meeting
   • Suggestion: 2008-04-22 14:30 UT (16:30 CET)
5. Any other business
   • PG asked on the status of the planned upgrade of the architectural concept document. TD answered that a slightly update version was available as a VO note but a final revision still would be needed.
   • PG mentioned that the ESO Users Committee is scheduled for mid-April and if anyone felt that ESO should take a more active role in software developments they should contact their committee members.
