Agenda and minutes

1. General information
   • Next Face-to-face meeting and ADASS'07
     • PG noted that we should start considering when and where our next face-to-face meeting should be. One option would be to have it together with ADASS'07 meeting in London in September. The main concern would be that no enough work on the interface specifications would have been done until then to enable a detailed consideration. After discussion, it was agreed that we should aim for a small information meeting (e.g. 2-3 hours) at ADASS'07 while the next full face-to-face meeting first would be arrange by the end of the year (most likely in ESO, Garching). The latter meeting would then be focused on the interface specifications. PG to prepare a draft agenda for the next meeting (see Action).
     • Our explicit plans for ADASS'07 need to be fixed at our June phone meeting as deadlines are at the end of June (e.g. for BoF's).
   • Upcoming SAMPO meeting
     • SAMPO will have a general meeting in Garching on 2007-05-31. Beside a presentation of their Reflex GUI, it is expected that both the final report (due by end 2007) and planning for the last half year will be considered. One option mentioned for a final SAMPO project was the usage of ACS, which is CORBA based, to integrate Reflex as user interface with CPL components. The would constitute a prototype which resemble our architectural concept and therefore be of high interest for us.
2. High-level requirements
   • Status
     • Due to ALMA reviews, PG has had very little time to work on the requirements. He hopes that at least the answers to the comments will be ready for next phone meeting.
3. Proto-types
   • Reports on proto-type work
     • BG reported that LP will go to Marseille and continue the work on the Marseille-Milan prototype. There had been some discussions on whether to continue with D-Bus or try the new VO Plastic messaging implementation. Further, a simple graphics interface was under consideration.
     • DT gave a summary of the developments in the VO interoperability working groups. A new and revised version of the Plastic interface is being prepared and is expected to be presented to ADASS'07. A more general messaging system is also under discussion. It would provide more features and therefore better suited for the parameter mechanism. An implementation should first be expected by the end of the year. openRTE is still an option of the execution framework. A prototype would not be ready before the very end of the year due to commitments.
