Agenda and minutes

1. General information
   • DP noted that it would be good to have a short summary of the BoF session at ADASS 2005. PG was ask to make one (see actions below).
   • BG confirmed that the ActionList page did not work. PG will check with the ESO Web master (action).
   • DT had submitted our poster as a paper to the ADASS proceedings and placed it on the GeneralDocuments page.
   • The minutes of the face-to-face meeting has been slow to materialize but PG still hopes to finish them by the end of the week.
2. Towards defining interface specifications
   • At the face-to-face meeting, there were general agreement on the subsystem required for the proposed architecture. The next step is to start defining the interfaces between them. In principle, one could either go top-down and draft interfaces from the requirements or work button-up and proto-type interfaces from our general experience. It was felt that the latter option would be more productive. We would aim to have a first discussion at our next phone meeting. People involved in current system are encourage to look on their interfaces and determine what the minimum interface for implementation of legacy applications would be.
3. Anything new?
   • Requirements
     • BG inquired on the status and schedule for the requirements. PG mentioned that:
       • The changes to the requirements discussed at the face2face meeting had been implemented in the LaTeX document v0.6 (see DetailedHighLevelRequirements). PG will also make the LaTeX file available.
       • Everybody are invited to check the document and send comments to PG either as plain text or by revising the LaTeX file. PG will the merge the into the next version.
       • When the requirements are stable (hopefully by January 2006) we should add explaining text to each requirement. Again everybody are welcome to send detailing text to PG who will merge it into the file.
       • In the early spring we then would start a written review with the aim to have a final discussion of controversial points at our next face-to-face meeting. This would result in the first official version.
       • After this we should make a public review of the document around the next ADASS meeting.
   • Architecture
     • DT reported that not much work had been done as he currently was involved in DataModel discussions related to VO.
