Agenda and minutes

1. General information
   • OPTICON meeting 2004-04-01
     • Our network 3.6 was presented by G.Monnet showing three viewgraphs provided by PrebenGrosbol who could not participate. The major issue of interest to networks was a proposal to simplify funding. The final scheme still have to be defined by JohnDavies who chair Network 3.
2. New TWiki pages
   • Changes of EnvironmentRequirement, addition of GeneralObjectives and MileStones
     • When the action-tracker plugin is installed also a summary of open actions will be added.
3. Start of discussions
   • Who are interested in the discussion in which groups - please e-mail me!
     • Five subgroups for discussion of scope and requirements were defined durring last meeting PhoneMeeting20040323 (see EnvironmentRequirement). You should indicate by e-mail to PrebenGrosbol which subgroup(s) you would be interested in by 2004-04-26.
   • Volunteers for leads of the 5 subgroups
     • If you are interested in leading one of the groups, please, indicated that also before 2004-04-26. From the offers, PrebenGrosbol will then select upto 2-3 leads for each subgroup. The leads would be responsible for the corresponding pages and to press on with the discussion within the subgroups. It seems more efficient to limit the leads for a subgroup to max. 3 so that they easily can have phone meetings.
   • Mode of discussion: e-mail, telecon, TWiki, ...
     • The process will be defined by the leads. One option is to have the leads make draft proposals (through direct discussions) and then start a Twiki review by the full subgroup.
     • It seems reasonal to start with the ScopeOfNetwork and when that is better defined continue with HighLevelRequirements. Once this has gotten under way, the ArchitectureAndFramworks^? would start followed by the StandardAppsAndLibs and AstronomicalApplications^?.

5. Time for next phone meeting
   • Suggestion: 2004-05-25 14:30 UT
     • Some people indication conflicts with other meeting. We will reschedule only if a majority the group report problems by e-mail at least one week prior to the meeting.
6. Any other business
   • Next/first face-to-face meeting (PeterLinde)
     • Since we only have funding for a limited no. of meetings, it was proposed to have the first meeting in the late fall of 2004 when we have a preliminary list of high level requirements which can be discussed.
   • Are the subggroups fixed? (PeterLinde)
     • No but due last PhoneMeeting20040323 we listed the 5 subgroups. If need be other ones can be proposed.
